Hospital Sisters Health System is a multi-institutional health care system that cares for patients in 14 communities in Illinois and Wisconsin. With 17 hospitals, scores of community-based health centers and clinics, nearly 2,300 physician partners, and more than 13,000 colleagues, HSHS is one of the largest hospital systems in the Midwest.
The Hospital Sisters Health System engaged THE FOURCE GROUP to create a new online presence designed for patients in a digital age. This effort included a complete overhaul of 18 websites which combined the expertise of all hospital services into a new responsive platform that is optimized for today’s audience. In addition, the site redesign brought a unified look and feel that elevates the patient experience to a customized concierge platform so patients and providers are connected to the information they need in a personalized manner and to integrate new digital strategies including online scheduling, online bill pay and more.
Over a 9-month period, THE FOURCE audited, designed, organized universal content and developed new features within the 7000+ pages. The result is a clean, crisp easy to use innovative website that changes the traditional idea of how a hospital website is supposed to act, look and feel while delivering all of the functionality and accessibility that it needs in order to serve both patients and providers that use it regularly. The integrated site established clear presence of connectivity from hospital to hospital and demonstrates the vast network of care that the Hospital Sisters Health System offers. In addition, by combing the 18 individual sites into one mega site, the power and authority of the site has gained prominence through search engine optimization.
The launch of the site was accelerated to meet the needs of patients as more patients are searching for care during the everchanging global pandemic. The connectivity, communicability and functionality of the website has already changed the way health care is being delivered and will only grow over the next year.
